Fraudsters Conned Victims Into Costly Phone Systems Plans

A pair of scammers from Hertfordshire swindled a number of small businesses out of millions by offering them expensive phone systems advancements when not required.

Daniel Cullen and Daniel Buttle claimed to be employed by a branch of BT and told trusting customers how they required to swap from analogue to digital. The pair lied and said schools and small enterprises would get the help of government grants and would get huge rebates- neither of which was correct. They finished up swindling over £1 million from unwary suspects.
